    Partner notification service

What’s the purpose of this initiative?

This service to notify partners of their risk of exposure to a sexually transmitted infection is part of a public health initiative to help protect the public and limit the spread of STIs. Clinique médicale l’Actuel supports this effort to reduce the risk of infection.

How does the partner notification service work?

When you use this service to inform one or more sexual partners that you’ve been diagnosed with an STI, you are acting privately and anonymously, as well as individually, of your own volition and with full knowledge of the potential consequences.

Your choice to use this service is motivated solely by goodwill and respect. Your aim is to inform each person you contact of your diagnosis, in order to encourage them to see a doctor.
Once you’ve sent a notification, it cannot be changed.

If you’re hesitant about sending a partner notification, your doctor can provide advice.

    Privacy and liability

You and the person you notify are the only people aware of your message. In this regard, Clinique médicale l’Actuel is simply offering the use of its server, and has no access to any of the information in the notification(s) that you send.

Clinique médicale l’Actuel assumes no liability for any ill-intentioned or negligent use of the partner notification service.
